Volunteers are the driving force in the success of the Simmons Bank Championship. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this inaugural PGA TOUR Champions playoff event while supporting the Little Rock community, and beyond through a variety of charitable initiatives. This community event has volunteer opportunities for everyone! Volunteer to work indoors at volunteer headquarters, as a marshal inside the ropes, or anything else that piques your interest from our Committee Descriptions below. The Simmons Bank Championship is a must attend event next October at Pleasant Valley Country Club, so don’t miss your chance to get involved!

Committee Descriptions

Scoring Services

Walking Scorers

Accompanies a group of players to keep score on a handheld device. Must be able to walk 18 holes in all types of weather. Full golf knowledge is required, and pre-event training is mandatory.

Standard Bearers

Accompany a professional grouping during play and display scores in relation to par on a cumulative basis. Must be able to carry a standard sign (approx. 10 lbs.) and walk 18 holes without a break.

TV Spotters

Assist with tournament production in relation to scoring and player information, cart driving, or TV crew support. Must be available all-day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Long Drive

Measure professional’s drive from tee to fairway on course. Training is required.

Spectator Services

Admissions + Will Call

Serves as the will call service, scans tickets, and assists with all entrance duties.


Assist tournament merchandise staff with set-up, organization, and sales of all merchandise.


Serves as the greeters and handout programs and pairing guides. Provides general information to spectators throughout the course.

ADA Shuttle

Shuttles disabled guest in golf carts to/from the entrance and designated stops.

Player Services

Caddie Services

Assist with caddie registration, maintain caddie lounge, and act as a concierge for all caddies.

Player Registration

Greet players, assist with registration, and assist with misc. player requests.


Responsible for courtesy vehicle preparation and distribution before and during tournament week. This committee also serves as a concierge service for players throughout the week.

Hospitality Services

Corporate Hospitality

Greet guests, check credentials, and provide wristbands to hospitality clients.

Special Events

Assists with set-up, registration, and additional tasks throughout and leading up to tournament week.


Assist tournament staff with Pro-Am registration, parties, and gift distribution. Must be available all day on both Wednesday, October 23 and Thursday, October 24.

Championship Services

Tournament Offices

Assist tournament staff prior to and during the tournament with misc. administrative duties.

Volunteer HQ

Oversee and manage volunteer headquarters during the tournament. Tasks include selling uniforms, handing out meal vouchers, and answering volunteer questions.

Volunteer Uniform Distribution

Assist with inventory, assembly, and distribution of volunteer uniform packages prior to tournament week.

Operations Division

Golf Cart Management

Assist with distribution and management of tournament golf carts.

On-Course Distribution

Distribute and replenish drinks, ice, and snacks to all holes on course and other various locations. Must be able to perform moderate to heavy lifting.

Contestant Evacuation

Responsible for evacuating players off the course with vehicles that are pre-placed on the course. Must have a valid driver’s license and be 21 years of age or older.

Gallery Management

Driving Range + Practice Facilities

Manage and maintain driving range and practice facilities. Duties include bagging and distributing range balls and making sure range nameplates are properly managed.


Responsible for managing gallery noise and traffic and provide ball spotting on select holes.

How do I sign up and what are the next steps?

Follow the link here to create an account. Once created, you will be able to select your committee and scheduling preferences. Once you have completed your registration, you will receive a confirmation email.

As we get closer to the tournament, you will receive communication from your committee chair regarding schedules.

What does it cost to volunteer?

The volunteer package is $75 and includes:

  • One (1) Simmons Bank Championship Logoed Golf Polo
  • One (1) Simmons Bank Championship Logoed Pullover
  • One (1) Simmons Bank Championship Logoed Hat
  • Clear Logoed Bag
  • Invitation to Volunteer Party
  • Volunteer Credential (providing access to the tournament on days you are not volunteering)
  • Two (2) General Admission Tickets Per Day (October 25th – 27th)
  • Meals on working days.

Can I purchase additional uniform items?

Yes, you will have the opportunity to purchase additional items at Uniform Distribution prior to tournament week and in Volunteer Headquarters during tournament week.

How many days do I have to volunteer?

Each volunteer must work a minimum of three (3) shifts. The shift will be 4 to 6 hours long.

How do I sign up to volunteer with my spouse, family, etc.? Can you schedule us for the same volunteer shift?

We will make every effort to accommodate your scheduling requests. Make sure to select similar availability to the person you wish to work with during the tournament and to let your chairperson know once they contact you. Shift coordination is only applicable within each committee (i.e. two people on different committees will not necessarily be scheduled at the same time).

Do I need to be a golfer to volunteer?

While some positions require golf knowledge, you do not need to be a golfer or have golf knowledge for all positions. Specific committees with required golf knowledge are noted on their description.
