Simmons Bank Championship Presented by Stephens

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – September 22, 2025 – Tournament officials announced today commitments from six of the top ten players in the current Charles Schwab Cup standings as the second edition of the Simmons Bank Championship presented by Stephens, returns to Pleasant Valley Country Club in Little Rock October 20-26, 2025.

Padraig Harrington, winner of the inaugural tournament in 2024, and one of three victories for the Irishman last year, has eleven career wins on the PGA TOUR Champions, including this year’s U.S. Senior Open. The World Golf Hall of Fame member is currently No. 5 in the Charles Schwab Cup standings.

Miguel Angel Jiménez, currently No. 1 in the Charles Schwab Cup standings, has 17 PGA TOUR Champions wins, including four this season. The Spainard finished T7 here last year.

Stewart Cink and Ernie Els recently were in a head-to-head playoff on the PGA TOUR Champions with Cink the eventual winner as he successfully defended his title at The Ally Challenge. Cink, who finished T5 here a year ago, is No. 2 in the Charles Schwab Cup standings and Els, who was T12 a year ago in Little Rock, is No. 4.

Steven Alker is a nine-time winner on the PGA TOUR Champions including a victory this season at the Cologuard Classic. The New Zealand native is currently No. 3 in the Charles Schwab Cup standings. He finished T12 at last year’s Simmons Bank Championship presented by Stephens.

Darren Clarke, who finished T34 last year, has five career wins, including one this season. The Northern Ireland native and 2016 European Ryder Cup captain is 10th in the current standings.

The 54-hole tournament is the second leg of the Charles Schwab Playoffs with 54 players qualifying here and competing to advance to the playoff finals where the top 36 players in the standings qualify for the Charles Schwab Cup Championship in November.

The complete field for the Simmons Bank Championship presented by Stephens will be available the evening of Sunday, October 19 following the completion of the first playoff event on the PGA TOUR Champions.
